Sylvia Santoy Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 281

San Antonio, Texas (November 22, 2020) – The 61-year-old woman who was killed in a DUI crash early Friday morning in San Antonio has been identified as Sylvia Santoy, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

The fatal crash happened on November 20, on Highway 281 northbound near Thousand Oaks.

Police said Robert Lee Collett Jr., 38, was driving a pickup truck at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended a white 1995 Honda Civic driven by Santoy.

Santoy was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Officers said Collett Jr. appeared to have been intoxicated at the time of the crash and is facing an intoxication manslaughter charge.

The police are investigating the crash.
