Tameka Delgado Killed in Beaumont Pedestrian Accident on College Street

Beaumont, Texas (July 7, 2020) – A woman was fatally hit by a car Friday night in Beaumont, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 10:15 p.m. on July 3, in the 6300 block of College Street.

Police said 44-year-old Tameka Delgado, of Beaumont, was standing outside of the westbound traffic lane along the street when she was struck by a car.

Delgado was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The Beaumont Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
