Tammie Tucker Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Dalworth Street in Grand Prairie

Tammie Tucker ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in Grand Prairie Accident at Dalworth Street and Texas 161
Grand Prairie, Texas (January 31, 2019) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday evening in west Grand Prairie has been identified as Tammie A. Tucker, 58, of Grand Prairie, according to police.
The deadly crash was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. Sunday, January 27 at Dalworth Street and a northbound frontage road of Texas 161.
According to the police, Tucker was walking westbound inside of a crosswalk while traffic heading northbound had a green light.
Police said Tucker was then hit by a 2016 Ford pickup while she was attempting to outrun several oncoming vehicles.
A 60-year-old Grand Prairie man, who was the driver of the pickup, remained at the scene along with other witnesses to perform CPR on Tucker.
Tucker did not survive and was sadly declared dead at the scene of the accident.
No further details were immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
