Tawnya Sanders Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on North Capital of Texas Highway in NW Austin

Austin, Texas – The woman who was killed on Friday in a two-vehicle crash in Northwest Austin has been identified as 60-year-old Tawnya Sanders, according to the Austin Police Department.

The fatal crash happened around 9:33 p.m., March 22, in the 6200 block of North Capital of Texas Highway Southbound.

Police said two SUVs were involved in the crash.

Sanders was pinned in her SUV and had to be rescued. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
