TCSO Deputy Injured in Travis County 18-Wheeler Crash on State Highway 130

Travis County, Texas (February 1, 2023) – A Travis County sheriff’s deputy was injured Tuesday morning in an 18-wheeler crash in southeastern Travis County, according to the deputies.

The crash happened on January 31, in the 3900 block of State Highway 130.

Deputies said the deputy was helping the driver of an 18-wheeler, which had gone off the road, when another 18-wheeler slid on the icy road, hitting and pinning the deputy under a tire.

The deputy was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery and is expected to survive.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
