Teddy Hillis Killed in Howard County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Howard County, Texas (January 17, 2022) – One person was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Howard County, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 11:24 a.m., January 12, on interstate 20, 11 miles east of Big Spring.

Police said Teddy Mack Hillis, 63, of Noble, Oklahoma, was driving a 2017 Ford F-250 pickup truck when he failed to control his speed and rear-ended a 2019 Freightliner truck tractor-trailer driven by Scott Jerome Neal,62, of Statesville, North Carolina.

Hillis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neal was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
