Teenager Seriously Injured in Austin Three-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 71

Austin, Texas (December 13, 2019) – A teenage boy was seriously injured in a rollover crash Thursday afternoon in Austin, according to a local news release.

The crash occurred around 4:03 p.m. December 12, on State Highway 71.

Officials said three vehicles were involved in a collision on the highway and one of them rolled over.

A teenage boy was taken to St. David’s South Austin with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed both directions of State Highway 71 between Thomas Springs Road/Old Bee Cave Road and Southwest Parkway.

Additional patients declined treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
