Theresa Martin Killed and Jessica Adams Injured in Hardin County Crash at US 96 and Andover Road

Hardin County, Texas (October 10, 2019) – One person was killed and another was injured in a traffic collision Wednesday evening in Hardin County, according to the DPS.

The crash was reported at about 5:15 p.m. on October 9, at the intersection of US 96 and Andover Road.

DPS said, Jessica Adams, 21, of Silsbee, was driving a 2016 Mitsubishi SUV northbound on US 96 while Theresa Martin,71, also of Silsbee, was driving a 2009 Nissan pickup truck westbound on Andover Road.

Martin failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of the Mitsubishi at the intersection, resulting in a collision.

Martin was declared dead at the scene.

Adams was taken to CHRISTUS Hospital St. Elizabeth with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
