Thomas Dale Killed in Mesquite Pedestrian Accident on US Highway 80

Mesquite, Texas (April 17, 2021) – A man was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash in Mesquite, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 9:27 p.m., April 11, in the 4700 block of Eastbound US Highway 80.

Police said 43-year-old Thomas Dale of Dallas, was struck by an unknown vehicle on the highway. As he was laying in the roadway he was struck by a 2017 Freightliner Box Truck and a 2019 Hyundai Accent.

The driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

Dale was pronounced dead at the scene.
