Thomas Paul Gonzales Killed and Two Injured in Archer County Four-Vehicle Crash on Highway 79

Archer County, Texas (February 5, 2021) – One person was killed, and two others were injured in a four-vehicle crash on Wednesday in County, seven miles south of Archer City, according to troopers.

The fatal crash happened on February 3, on Highway 79.

DPS said a pickup truck pulling a trailer was traveling southbound on the highway while a truck and a car were also traveling southbound behind it.

The trailer of the first pickup truck lost its left wheels, causing it to move into the northbound lane.

The car steered right and then overcorrected to the left. It then skidded into the southbound lane and crashed head-on into the second truck.

The truck was then rear-ended by a fourth vehicle.

Thomas Paul Gonzales, 30, of Seymour, was killed in the crash.

No other details were provided.

The troopers are investigating the crash.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statutes which were violated.
