Tina Egleston Struck by Car on I-35 in San Antonio

Tina Egleston Injured in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35 near Frost Bank Center

San Antonio, Texas – An Edgewood ISD School police officer was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday in San Antonio, according to a local news source.

The accident happened on January 20, off I-35 near the Frost Bank Center.

According to the report, Tina Egleston was working off-duty directing traffic when she took a break and went to a gas station. Two people asked for her a ride back to their vehicle that had run out of gas. She was helping the stranded driver when another driver hit the back of her SUV, which then hit her.

Egleston was taken to the hospital where she was sedated with broken ribs and a severe brain injury.

Another person was also hit and was listed in stable condition.

The police are investigating the crash.
