Tino Nevares Critically Injured in Odessa Pedestrian Accident on 8th and Grandview

Odessa, Texas (November 16, 2020) – A man was critically injured in a pedestrian accident Saturday night in Southeast Odessa, according to police.

The accident happened just before 6:45 p.m., November 14, in the area of 8th Street and Grandview.

Police said Carissa Rojas-Vargas, 27, was driving eastbound on 8th Street when they hit Tino Nevares, who was attempting to cross the street.

Nevares was not at a crosswalk at the time of the accident. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Rojas-Vargas was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
