Tobbi Sims Seriously Injured in Lubbock Pedestrian Crash on MLK Jr. Boulevard at East 38th Street

Lubbock, Texas (July 19, 2021) – A woman was seriously injured Sunday morning in a pedestrian accident in Lubbock, according to the police.

The accident happened around 2:01 a.m., July 18, in the 3800 block of MLK Jr. Boulevard at East 38th Street.

Police said Tobbi Sims, 25, was attempting to cross MLK Jr. Boulevard eastbound from East 38th Street when she was struck by a southbound car.

Sims was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The passenger in the car sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
