Tommy Davidson Killed in Valley Mills Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6

McLennan County, Texas (October 13, 2019) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning between Waco and Valley Mills, according to a local news release.

The crash happened on Friday, October 11, on Highway 6 near Del Mar Ranch Road.

DPS said a Volkswagen passenger was heading southbound when it hydroplaned, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The Volkswagen then crossed into the northbound lane and crashed into an 18-wheeler.

The Volkswagen driver, Tommy Davidson, 63, was declared dead at the scene.

The truck driver was taken to Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco for treatment.

Officials said weather was a likely factor in the crash. It was raining at the time of the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
