Tre Allison Killed in Burleson Two-Vehicle Crash on NW John Jones Drive at Tarpon Street

Burleson, Texas (June 11, 2020) – According to a local news source, a 16-year-old Burleson High School student was killed Monday night in a hit-and-run crash in Burleson.

The fatal crash happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. on June 8, in the 700-block of NW John Jones Drive at Tarpon Street.

According to a preliminary investigation, Eric Padilla, 29, of Burleson, was driving northbound on John Jones Drive when he turned westbound onto Tarpon Street and struck a southbound Acura.

Padilla fled the scene after the accident. Officers later stopped him.

The Acura driver, an 18-year-old who had recently graduated from Burleson High School, was taken to the hospital where they were treated and released.

Tre Allison, who was a passenger in the Acura, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Allison was arrested and has been charged with accident involving death, a second-degree felony. He is being held at the Johnson County Jail with his bond set at $250,000.

The crash remains under investigation.
