Trey Barker Killed in Lubbock Motorcycle Accident on Quaker Avenue at 72nd Street

Lubbock, Texas (December 26, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident Monday afternoon in Lubbock, a local news source reported.

The fatal crash happened around 3:15 p.m. December 23, in the area of Quaker Avenue and 72nd Street.

Police said 43-year-old Trey Barker was riding a motorcycle northbound on Quaker Avenue in the center lane while an SUV was heading westbound on 72nd Street.

The SUV stopped at a stop sign and then entered the intersection where it collided with the motorcycle.

Barker was taken to University Medical Center where he later died.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
