Triton Howell Killed in Robertson County 4-Wheeler Crash on FM 46 near Morgan Lane; Katlyne Martinez Arrested

Robertson County, Texas (December 28, 2019) – The 6-year-old boy who was seriously injured in a 4-wheeler crash on Christmas morning in Robertson County has died, according to the authorities.

The crash happened around 10:15 a.m. December 25, on FM 46 near Morgan Lane.

DPS said Katlyne Martinez, 18, of Franklin was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger southbound on FM 46 when Triton Howell, 6, came out onto the roadway from a private drive in his 4-wheeler crash and was hit by the truck.

Martinez kept going until her truck became disabled a few miles south of the crash scene.

Howell was taken to a Houston hospital in serious condition where he died on Friday morning.

Martinez was arrested for failure to stop and render aid with serious injuries and was booked into the Robertson County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

The crash remains under investigation.
