Tucker Miles Killed, Timeka Thomas and General Edwards Injured in Gregg County Four-Vehicle Crash on FM 1844 at Spur 502

Gregg County, Texas (May 7, 2023) – A man was killed, and two other people were injured on Sunday in a four-vehicle crash in Gregg County, according to officials.

The fatal crash happened around 6:30 p.m., April 30, at the intersection of FM 1844 and Spur 502.

Officials said Tucker I. Miles, 27, of Sulphur Springs, was driving a 2014 Mazda 6 eastbound on FM 1844 while General L. Edwards, 54, of Kilgore, was driving a 2021 Jeep Wrangler southbound on Spur 502. The vehicles collided at the intersection and then struck a 2016 Honda Fit driven by Isiah T. Rodgers, 22, of Longview, and a 2019 Toyota Tacoma driven by Kauhi D. Adcock, 55, of Longview.

Miles was taken to UT Health Hospital in Tyler, where he was pronounced dead on Monday, May 1. Edwards was taken to CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview with non-incapacitating injuries.

Timeka M. Thomas, 53, of Longview, was reportedly a passenger in the Honda and was taken to CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, where she was treated and released. 

Rodgers and Adcock were uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
