Two Deputies Injured in DUI Crash at North Eldridge Parkway and Clay Road in Harris County

2 Deputies Injured in Harris County Motorcycle Accident at North Eldridge Parkway and Clay Road

Harris County, Texas (August 4, 2019) – Two deputies were injured in a suspected DUI crash Friday night at a Harris County intersection, according to a local news source.

The crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. August 2, at the intersection of North Eldridge Parkway and Clay Road.

Police said the two deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were part of a group of law enforcement officers from several different agencies who were escorting giant wooden crates being transported from Jersey Village area to Seabrook.

As the officers were blocking off the intersection, a suspected drunken driver came through and struck both deputies.

One of the officers was treated at the scene and released, while the other was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The DUI driver was taken into custody.

An investigation is underway.
