Two Including Trooper Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 306 in San Angelo

DPS Trooper among Two Injured in San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash on Loop 306

San Angelo, Texas (October 7, 2019) – A Department of Public Safety trooper and another driver were injured in a traffic collision Friday morning in San Angelo, according to a local news release.

The crash occurred on Friday, October 4, on Loop 306.

As per the release, the trooper saw a vehicle violation and made a U-turn to catch that vehicle. When he made the U-turn, he didn’t see a white GMC pickup in the right-hand lane. The GMC crashed into the trooper’s Ford Explorer and then struck a guardrail.

Both the trooper and the GMC driver were treated for minor injuries.

An investigation is underway.
