Two Airlifted After Rowlett 18-Wheeler Crash on I-30 Bridge Over Lake Ray Hubbard

Rowlett, Texas (August 18, 2020) – Two people were airlifted after an 18-wheeler crash early Monday morning in Rowlett, according to police.

The crash happened around 3:00 a.m., August 17, on the I-30 Bridge over Lake Ray Hubbard near Dalrock Road.           

Police said an 18-wheeler hit a car on the side of the road. Another 18-wheeler crossed over and hit two other cars.

Both trucks turned onto their sides after the crash.

Two people were airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

The crash closed both the eastbound and the westbound lanes of traffic.

The crash remains under investigation.
