Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Gollihar Road in Corpus Christi

Two Hospitalized after Corpus Christi Two-Vehicle Crash on Gollihar Road near Ayers Street

Corpus Christi, Texas (March 31, 2020) – Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Corpus Christi, according to police.

The crash occurred just before 7:00 a.m. on Gollihar Road near Ayers Street.

According to police, witnesses said a 24-year-old man was driving westbound, weaving around vehicles, when he lost control and crashed into an oncoming vehicle driven by a woman in her mid-20s.

Both drivers were rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.

Investigators said the man might have been under the influence. A criminal investigation is ongoing to determine if he will face charges of intoxication assault.

The crash closed Gollihar Road near Ayers Street for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
