2 Hospitalized after Beaumont Train Accident at Garner and Helbig

Beaumont, Texas (November 4, 2019) – Two people were injured Friday night in a crash involving a train in Beaumont, a local news source reported.

The crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. November 1, in the railroad tracks at Garner and Helbig.

Police said a vehicle attempted to cross the tracks as the train was approaching and was hit on the passenger side by the train.

A passenger in the car sustained serious injuries in the crash. The driver sustained minor injuries. Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
