Two Killed in Plano Two-Vehicle Crash on President George Bush Turnpike near Jupiter Road

Plano, Texas (December 28, 2020) – Two people were killed early Sunday morning in a fiery traffic collision in Plano, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m., December 27, on the President George Bush Turnpike near Jupiter Road. 

Authorities said two vehicles were traveling westbound on the turnpike when one of them rear-ended the other.

The vehicle that was rear-ended caught fire. The driver and one passenger in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The other driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of PGBT.

The Texas DPS is investigating the crash.
