2 Killed and One Injured in Harlingen Two-Vehicle Crash at Tyler Avenue and Eye Street

Harlingen, Texas (July 14, 2020) – Two people were killed, and another was injured Monday night in a two-vehicle crash in Harlingen, according to police.

The fatal crash happened at about 11:00 p.m. on July 13, at the intersection of Tyler Avenue and Eye Street.

Police said a white truck was traveling eastbound on Tyler Avenue when it struck a gray SUV that was traveling northbound on Eye Street.

The impact caused the truck to flip over and lose its front tires.

The driver and passenger of the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released.

The truck driver was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
