Two Riders Critically Injured in Dallas Motorcycle Crash at Audelia Road and Forest Lane

Dallas, Texas (May 11, 2020) – Two men were critically injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon at a Dallas intersection, according to a local news source.

The crash happened around 3:00 p.m. May 9, at the intersection of Audelia Road and Forest Lane.

Police said a vehicle was heading westbound and was attempting to turn southbound on Audelia Road when the driver had to yield to pedestrians. A  Ford SUV which was traveling behind the vehicle was stopped in the middle of the eastbound lanes at the intersection.

The Ford was then struck by a motorcycle that was traveling eastbound on Forest Lane.

The two men in the motorcycle were taken to Presbyterian Dallas Hospital with critical injuries.

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the crash.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly

Most motorcycle crashes are caused by negligent drivers who don’t keep a proper lookout or fail to yield the right-of-way. Because motorcyclists are vulnerable, their injuries are usually severe, often suffering from road rash, broken bones, brain injuries, amputations, or spinal cord injuries. In some cases, the accident results in death.
