2 Police Officers Critically Injured in Houston Helicopter Crash on Imperial Valley

Houston, Texas (May 2, 2020) – According to police, two police officers were critically injured early Saturday morning after a Houston police helicopter crashed into a Greenspoint apartment complex in Houston.

The crash happened just before 2:00 a.m. in the 17000 block of Imperial Valley near Benmar.

Police said the helicopter was flying over a bayou where there were reports of bodies in the water when it crashed into a building in the apartment complex.

Two officers in the helicopter were airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.

No one on the ground was injured in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
