Jesse Ramirez Dies in Three-Vehicle Crash in Jefferson County

Jefferson County, TX – One person was killed and two others were injured following a multi-vehicle traffic collision on Interstate 10 in Jefferson County on Saturday, according to Texas DPS.
The incident happened at about noon on Saturday, June 20, 2024, on Interstate 10 at mile marker 831.
According to DPS, a preliminary investigation determined that a Honda Accord was speeding down eastbound I-10, before crashing into a stationary Chevrolet van.
The impact pushed the van into the road where it collided with an 18-wheeler.
The driver of the Honda, identified as 52-year-old Lilian Ho, was transported to Riceland Medical Center with “suspected incapacitating injuries”, according to the DPS.
A passenger in the Honda, identified as Jesse Ramirez, 59, was transported to Riceland Medical Center where he died.
Authorities say the drivers of the van and the 18-wheeler sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
