Man on Electric Bike Critically Hurt After Crash with Truck in San Antonio
The crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. in the 5500 block of Babcock Road, near Eckhert Road.
San Antonio, TX – A man was critically injured after he crashed his electric bike into a truck on the Northwest Side on Wednesday, July 3, according to a San Antonio PD report.
The crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. in the 5500 block of Babcock Road, near Eckhert Road.
According to San Antonio police, a man in his late 20s was riding a black electric bike northbound in the southbound lanes of Babcock Road when the bicycle crashed into the front of truck that was leaving a driveway.
Upon the impact, the man was ejected from the bicycle. Authorities confirmed that the man suffered, critical, life-threatening injuries, police said.
According to SAPD, the driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The incident remains under investigation.
