Vidor Man Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Griffing Drive at Wignall Avenue in Port Arthur

50-Year-Old Man Injured in Port Arthur Pedestrian Accident at Griffing Drive and Wignall Avenue

Port Arthur, Texas (August 18, 2020) – A 50-year-old Vidor man was injured on Saturday in a hit-and-run crash in Port Arthur, according to police.

The accident occurred on August 15, at 4600 block of Griffing Drive and 2500 block of Wignall Avenue.

Police said a man was driving northbound on Wignall Avenue when he failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the man.

The driver fled the scene but was later arrested and was believed to be intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries but was listed in stable condition.

The police are investigating the crash.
