Brazos County, Texas (August 23, 2022) – One person was killed, and another was injured Monday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash in Brazos County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:05 p.m., on August 22, on Highway 6, near Farm-to-Market 2154.

DPS said a 2022 Dodge Charger, a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a 2022 Toyota Tacoma were traveling northbound while a 2005 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound.

The Jeep attempted to change lanes, struck the Dodge, and then hit the Tacoma. This caused the Dodge to cross over the center median into the northbound lanes and crash head-on into the 2005 Toyota.

The Dodge driver, 21-year-old Jesus Sic, of Bryan, was taken to CHI St. Joseph Regional Health for treatment.

The drivers of the Jeep and the Tacoma were uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
