William Grow Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20 in Tarrant County

William Grow ID’d as Man Killed in Tarrant County Crash on Interstate 20 near Loop 820

Tarrant County, Texas (May 27, 2022) –The man who was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash involving four vehicles in southwest Tarrant County has been identified.

William Grow, 72, of Tucson, Arizona, died in the four-vehicle wreck that happened at around 12:54 p.m. on May 25 in the 9900 block of Interstate 20, just before the SW Loop 820 interchange near Benbrook.

Authorities said four vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes of the interstate.

Grow, who was one of the drivers, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was airlifted to JPS with critical injuries.

Police temporarily closed all lanes of eastbound Interstate 20 as they investigated the scene.

No further details about the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
