William Guy ID’d as Man Killed in Polk County Car Accident on U.S 59
Polk County, Texas (March 30, 2019) – The man who was killed early Friday morning in a motorcycle accident in Goodrich has been identified as William Guy, 57, of Groveton, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The tragic crash took place at around 1:10 a.m. Friday, March 29 on U.S. Highway 59.
The DPS said Guy was riding a 2012 Honda motorcycle northbound on U.S. Highway 59 when he failed to control his speed and rear-ended a 2005 Chevrolet pickup operated by a 67-year-old Houston man.
The impact force caused the motorcycle to veer off the road to the left and into the grassy center median, where it came to a rest.
Guy was taken to a Livingston hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the pickup was unhurt in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
