Wing Cheung Chou ID’d as Man Killed in Austin Crash on Texas 45
Austin, Texas (April 11, 2019) – Authorities have identified the man who was killed Saturday afternoon in a traffic accident in Austin as Wing Cheung Chou, 69.
The deadly accident happened at about 3:26 p.m. Saturday, April 6 in the 14000 block of Texas 45.
According to police, Chou was operating his blue Honda on Texas 45 when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a concrete barrier.
The Honda then continued and crashed into the rear of a stopped fire truck that was blocking traffic for a wrecker.
Chou and his passenger had to be extricated by firefighters. Both were then transported taken to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, where Chou later succumbed to his injuries.
