Woman Injured in Fort Worth Pedestrian Accident on Crockett Street; Moises Salinas Arrested

Fort Worth, Texas (May 27, 2020) – A woman was struck by a car Tuesday morning outside a bar in the West 7th area of Fort Worth, according to police.

The accident occurred around 2:25 a.m. May 26, at 2801 Crockett Street.

According to police, officers responded to a disturbance at the Concrete Cowboy bar where an intoxicated man, 34-year-old Moises Salinas, was arguing with staff. Salinas was asked to leave, and he was supposed to ride home with a friend, but he got into his own vehicle and drove down the street. He tried to run over some of the staff who were standing outside of the bar.

Salinas then drove over the curb and struck several objects. He turned around and tried to run over the bar staff again, but he missed the staff and hit a woman.

The woman, who is a patron, was not Salinas’s intended target. She was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.

Salinas’s vehicle was stopped at the intersection of North University Drive and Morton Street, and he was taken into custody. He is facing two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.

The police are investigating the crash.

We wish the injured victim a quick recovery.

“When a person has suffered a grave personal injury in an accident due to someone else’s negligence, the most overwhelming emotion they feel is a sense of injustice. They often ask how such a life-altering event could have happened to them,” attorney Joel A. Gordon said. “The next question usually is, who can help me?” Mr. Gordon added.

A legal advocate can represent an injury victim or the family of a deceased victim. The attorney will file a claim on behalf of the victim and will have the responsibility of citing existing codes, laws, or statues which were violated.
