Woman Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Southwest Freeway

Houston, Texas (April 9, 2021) – A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle Thursday night in southwest Houston, a local news source reported.

The deadly accident happened on April 8, in the 10900 block of the Southwest Freeway.

According to the report, the woman was crossing the freeway and was not paying attention because she was on her phone when she was struck by a vehicle that had a green light.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The driver remained at the scene after the accident.

Officers said the driver was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.
