One Hospitalized after Houston Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 45 near Tidwell
Houston, Texas (January 16, 2019) – A woman was hospitalized Monday night after a six-vehicle crash on a Houston freeway, according to the Houston Police Department.
The crash occurred shortly before 11:00 p.m. January 14, in the 3500 block of northbound Interstate 45, near Tidwell.
Police said an air conditioning unit fell off a truck in the fast lane and a driver swerved to avoid it and swiped an off-duty officer’s vehicle. The driver of a third car then attempted to slam on the brakes but also clipped the first car.
Three more vehicles rear-ended each other in an attempt avoid the crash and the A/C unit.
One woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
No further details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
