Woman in Wheelchair Hit, Killed by Car on Westheimer in Houston

Woman Killed in West Houston Pedestrian Accident on Westheimer at Dunvale

Houston, Texas (September 28, 2020) – A woman in a wheelchair was fatally hit by a car Monday morning in west Houston, according to police.

The deadly accident occurred around 6:20 a.m., at Westheimer and Dunvale.

Police said a vehicle was heading westbound on Westheimer when it struck the woman who was crossing the street in a wheelchair.

The woman was killed in the crash. Her name has not been released.

The driver claimed he had the green light and didn’t see the woman. He was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
