Woman Hospitalized after Fondren Road Washateria Crash in Southwest Houston

Houston, Texas (May 1, 2019) – A vehicle crashed into a washateria, sending a woman to a hospital in southwest Houston on Tuesday morning, the Houston police reported.
The crash occurred at about 11 a.m. April 30, at the SGT Washateria located in the 9900 block of Fondren Road.
Houston police said a Lincoln sedan accidentally reversed into the laundromat, sending flying debris of glass, wood and metal. A woman who was inside the store was struck in the leg by the flying debris.
The victim was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
There were no reports of other injuries.
Police did not identify the parties involved in the collision.
An investigation to find out the cause of the crash is underway.
