Woman Hospitalized after San Antonio Crash with Big Rig on I-35 near Fischer Road

San Antonio, Texas (January 8, 2019) – A woman was injured when her vehicle slammed into an 18-wheeler on Monday afternoon on San Antonio’s South Side.
Police said the accident took place around 1 p.m. January 7 on Interstate 35 near Fischer Road.
An earlier crash that had occurred further down the road caused vehicles to stop. A woman was not able to stop and crashed into the rear of a stopped big rig.
The female driver of the vehicle had to be extricated by the first responders. She was then transported to a hospital and was said to be in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The identities of the parties involved in this accident were not immediately released.
The crash is under investigation.
