Woman Killed, 3 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on North Blue Mound Road in Fort Worth

77-Year-Old Woman Killed, Three Hospitalized after Fort Worth Car Crash on North Blue Mound Road and State Highway 156

Fort Worth, Texas (April 13, 2022) – A woman was killed and three other people were injured in a Monday afternoon car crash in Fort Worth, according to police.

The fatal accident was reported at around 3:12 p.m. Monday, April 11, in the 1200 block of North Blue Mound Road and State Hwy 156.

Police said the 77-year-old woman was driving a small SUV northbound on Blue Mound Road when she slowed to make a U-turn using a side street.

The SUV reportedly turned in front of a pickup truck that was also heading northbound on Blue Mound Road. The two vehicles ultimately collided.

The SUV driver, that’s vehicle sole occupant, was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The occupants of the pickup truck, two adult women and a toddler, were taken to a nearby hospital in unknown conditions.

No other details were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
