Woman Killed in Chain-Reaction Crash on I-45 in Houston

One Killed in Houston Three-Vehicle Crash on I-45 near Parker Road

Houston, Texas (October 28, 2019) – A woman was killed in a chain-reaction crash early Sunday morning in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 4:00 a.m. October 27, on Interstate 45 (North Freeway) near Parker Road.

Police said two vehicles were involved in a minor accident on the freeway.

One of the involved cars stopped in the left lane of moving traffic and the driver and passenger got out to assess damages. While they were standing at the back of the car, a Good Samaritan stopped to check on them.

Another vehicle came along and rear-ended the Good Samaritan’s car, causing it to hit a woman.

The woman was rushed to the hospital where she was declared dead.

All northbound lanes of the North Freeway were closed and motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

The crash remains under investigation.
