Woman Killed in Arlington Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Arlington, Texas (April 17, 2021) – A woman in her 20s was killed early Friday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Arlington, according to police.

The fatal crash happened on April 16, on Interstate 20, near Collins Street.

Police said Michael Bailey, 38, of Arlington, was driving a passenger vehicle when he swerved and crashed into a truck tractor towing a semi-trailer. The truck driver tried to take evasive action causing the truck tractor and semi-trailer to jackknife across all the westbound lanes.

A woman was driving a passenger vehicle westbound when she struck the semi-trailer. She was killed in the crash. Her name has not been released.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

Bailey was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter.

The crash closed the interstate for several hours.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
