Woman Killed, Three Injured in The Woodlands Two-Vehicle Crash on Woodlands Parkway and FM 2978

The Woodlands, Texas (May 7, 2023) – A woman was killed, and three other people were injured Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in The Woodlands, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 p.m., May 6, at the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and FM 2978.

Authorities said a Honda Accord was heading southbound on FM 2978 when the driver made a U-turn. A northbound Ford F-250 crashed into the passenger door of the Honda, where a woman was sitting.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The Honda driver, a man in his 60s, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver and passenger in the Ford were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash closed FM 2978 northbound for several hours.

The Texas DPS is investigating the crash.
