Woman Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on FM 51 (South Main Street) in Weatherford

76-Year-Old Woman Killed in Weatherford Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 51 (South Main Street)

Weatherford, Texas (October 11, 2020) – A 76-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Weatherford, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around 9:15 a.m., October 7, on FM 51 (South Main Street) at BB Fielder Road.

Police said the woman was driving an SUV and had pulled over to the right shoulder of the highway. She then began to make a U-turn and was struck by an 18-wheeler.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured in the crash.

Officers said speeding, alcohol, and drugs were not factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
