Woman Killed in Kingwood Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 59

Kingwood, Texas (May 24, 2021) – A woman was killed, and a man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Kingwood, according to the police.

The fatal crash occurred around 11:00 a.m., May 23, in the southbound lanes of U.S. 59.

Police said a man was driving a Tundra pickup truck when he crashed into another vehicle that was attempting to pass the Tundra.

The force of the impact pushed the Tundra into the concrete pillars for the highway overpass.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. His passenger, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The Tundra driver was at fault, and investigators said he could face criminal charges.

The crash closed the feeder road.

The crash remains under investigation.
