Woman Killed, Man Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on I-610 in Houston

Woman Killed and Man Critically Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 610

Houston, Texas (November 27, 2022) – A woman was killed, and a man was critically injured Saturday morning in a wrong-way crash in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m., November 26, on Interstate 610 North.

Police said the woman was driving the wrong way on Hardy Toll Road. A deputy from the Harris County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office spotted the woman and attempted to stop her, but the woman made it to I-610 North, where she crashed head-on with another vehicle.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The other driver, a man, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. His name has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
