Woman Killed and Man Seriously Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Winkler

Houston, Texas (August 4, 2021) – A woman was killed, and a man was seriously injured Tuesday night in a head-on collision in southeast Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 11:30 p.m., August 3, in the 800 block of Winkler.

Police said the man was driving a sedan when he crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a pickup truck occupied by a couple and their 6-month-old baby girl.

The sedan driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. His female passenger was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where she later died. Her name has not been released.

The little girl was taken to the hospital to be checked up. She and her parents are expected to be okay.

Officers said the sedan driver could end up being charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The police are investigating the crash.
