Woman Killed in Dallas Pedestrian Crash on Julius Schepps Freeway

Dallas, Texas (June 10, 2019) – A woman was fatally hit by a driver who fled the scene after the incident early Saturday morning in Dallas, according to a police report.

The crash happened at about 2:43 a.m. June 8, in the 3500 block of Julius Schepps Freeway.

Police said a red 2015 Nissan Versa was traveling southbound on the Julius Schepps Freeway when it struck a woman walking on the roadway. The driver then tried to flee the scene but was later caught and arrested on suspicion of failure to stay at the scene of accident.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
