Worker Hurt in Spring Worksite Accident on Champions Forest Drive
Spring, Texas (May 15, 2019) – A worker was injured Tuesday afternoon in an accident in Spring, according to police.
The worksite incident happened at about 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 in the 18900 block of Champions Forest Drive.
Police said the worker was using a backhoe to dig a utility trench when for an as of yet to be determined reason, the worker got off the backhoe and entered into the ditch.
After entering, the hole collapsed around the worker and trapped him waist-deep in the dirt.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and treated the worker for his injuries.
No other details were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
